A Peak Inside My Pantry

I am SO excited to reveal my pantry to you! Out of all the rooms in my house, this was one of the ones I was most excited about when building. The pantry is the closet for kitchens and who among us doesn’t love a big, beautiful closet?!

Baking is one of my hobbies and I’ve always dreamed of a space that was organized and functional to store all my baking and cooking supplies, tools and utensils. I’m so happy to finally have them all accessible, in full view when I need them.

I also love to entertain so I wanted a space that was elegantly designed and functional that I would want to showcase to guests rather than hide. Let’s face it, most parties end up with everyone congregating in the kitchen. Because of this I made the decision to keep the pantry open and without a door. I used a curved archway for the entry to add a little extra flair and also incorporated a ladder in the space for all of those high shelves that I will just never be able to reach. Let’s be honest, constantly searching for a chair or stool to stand on for all of us short girls isn’t fun!!

I really wanted the pantry to feel light and airy so I kept the paint colours neutral and I added a round window to make the space that much brighter. I also had shiplap done to the same wall as an additional element to add more depth and texture to the space.

For food storage, I decided to use all clear, sealed containers. Not only are they super functional and keep your food fresh, but as an added bonus they also look so pretty when displayed on the shelves!

And if you look closely you will see that of course there are some signature Jillian pops of pink in there! You know that no space of mine is complete without at least a tiny bit of pink :)

So there it is, my pantry revealed. I hope you love it as much as I do and that it inspires some creative ideas for your pantry.

Happy cooking and entertaining friends!

Jillian
